With more than eighteen years of professional experience, Saflain Haider has led numerous tech-centric health reforms for Pakistan’s provincial and federal governments.

Before Rayn, he led the Health Informatics Wing for the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination (MoNHSRC) of Pakistan as Member IT. He was awarded the ‘100 days of Nation’s Resolve Humility in Efforts – Pakistan’s fight against COVID-19 award by the NCOC for his pivotal role in defining tech strategy and supporting federal and provincial governments. He also served as Additional Director General of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), where he led the e-Government Applications team and deployed systems to improve the healthcare delivery of the province.

Apart from his contributions to the healthcare sector, he has implemented IT-based initiatives in livestock, agriculture, population welfare, transport, and education. He has been honoured by the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief Minister of Punjab, Minister for Health/Secretary Health, and Chairman PITB for the “Best Performance Award” for his work in anti-dengue initiatives & revamping of DHQs and THQs in Punjab, Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) and telemedicine to name a few.

Saflain holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Information Systems from Middlesex University and a Master’s degree in Business IT, Strategic Management and Management of ERP Resources from Kingston University. He also holds advisory positions for UNICEF and WHO as the Deployment Specialist and Digital Health Expert, respectively.
